**What's involved with this role**:
**Temporary Litter Picker**

**Pay rate £10.60 per hour PAYE** Sweep or litter pick highways / Pathways / Hard surfaces / Bus shelters / Steps Key responsibilities:

- Report and clear spillages and remove of drug related litter and dead animals
- Emptying / siting of dog / grit / litter bins.
- Assist in winter maintenance operations - grit bins, clearing pathways
- Act in a professional manner at all times and promote the Council in a positive manner.
- Be fully aware of health and safety requirements in relation to any task undertaken and ensure that safe working practices are adopted at all times.
- Attend training and briefing sessions when requested and take personal responsibility to improve and develop your skills, knowledge and ability.
- The need to adhere to adhere to Council’s Policies and specifically the Equal Opportunities Policy, Health & Safety Policy and the Code of Conduct.
- The need to comply with the Data Protection 1998 and the principles enshrined within it in respect of personal information held by the Council.
- Carry out any other duties that may be required commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post
