Forestry Worker

**The Opportunity**:_Do you want to embark on a career path where every day offers the chance to make an impact on the environment? _We are recruiting for a Forestry Worker to join a dedicated team managing the mixed forests at our client's site in the West Midlands. A rewarding role, you will be involved in various tasks related to forestry including; thinning, felling, planting programs, and overall ecosystem management. Very much a hands-on position you will enjoy working in the outdoors and be confident in operating forestry equipment and machinery. A fantastic opportunity to become part of a committed team involved in the sustainable management and maintenance of forest and natural resources.

**The Company**: An extensive, thriving, and diverse private country estate with a large area of mixed forestry including new plantations and ancient semi-natural woodland. The business is dedicated to practising sustainable and regenerative methods through integrated strategies and plans.

**Skills you will need**:

- Essential:_
- An understanding of forestry practices and woodland management
- Previous experience in the use of forestry equipment and machinery
- A strong work ethic with a hands-on approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to follow safety procedures and protocols
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

**Remuneration**:A competitive salary will be on offer to reflect your experience.

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Understanding of forestry practices and woodland management: 1 year (required)
- In the use of forestry equipment and machinery: 1 year (required)
