If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a
**Behaviour Mentor**.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our SEN students with challenging behaviour, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their academic and personal goals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide individualized support and mentoring to students with SEN, specifically focusing on those with challenging behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers, learning support assistants, and other professionals to develop and implement behavior support plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Help students develop coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation techniques.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment by promoting understanding, empathy, and respect among students.
- Monitor and record student progress, collecting relevant data to inform interventions and adjustments to support plans.
- Liaise with parents/carers, providing regular updates on student progress and offering guidance and strategies for managing challenging behavior at home.
- Collaborate with external agencies and specialists to access additional support and resources for students when required.
**Requirements**:
- Relevant experience working with children or young adults with SEN, particularly those with challenging behavior (experience within a school setting is desirable).
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of our students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
**Qualifications**:
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification is desirable, but not essential.
- Additional training or qualifications in behaviour management, counseling, or psychology will be advantageous.
- ** Enhanced Child & Adult DBS** (ideally on the Update Service) - or willing to apply.
**Working Hours: 08:30 - 3:30**
