Trainee Planner

We are on the lookout for Trainee Planner to join our well-established client in Banbury. This is a temp to perm position. The hourly rate is £12.34 going up to £26,250 per annum once successfully completely 12 weeks probational period. This role is working Monday to Friday with 1 rotational Saturday every month.

Our client is a leading UK ambient 3PL business providing nationwide contract logistics and supply chain management services to a range of companies across a variety of sectors.

**About the role**:
As a Trainee Planner, you are responsible for:

- Managing delivery bookings on behalf of the customer.
- Managing deliveries, including any issues or rebooks.
- Administration of planning activities such as entry onto haulier portals.
- Supporting the Transport Supervisor and Planner in any task assigned.
- Providing various reports/spreadsheets for internal departments and customers in a timely manner.
- Carrying out any other formal and legal duties as required.
- Liaising with various departments including customer service, warehouse operations, stock team and more.
- Liaising with external stakeholders including hauliers and customer delivery depots.
- Subcontracting and planning orders efficiently to ensure the highest standards of performance.
- Adapting the plan in accordance with any legal requirements or ad hoc customer/management requests.
- Maintaining the driver planning sheet with real time changes.
- Ensuring accuracy of order entry to ensure all costs are captured,
- Identifying backload opportunities and area of improvement.
