Home in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.

1 x Part Time, female, non-smoker, personal assistant and clean driving licence would be beneficial but not essential.

08 hours per week paid 4 weekly via bacs.

Salary £10.90 gross per hour

The role involves caring for a male in early fifties with personal care.

Previous experience working in the care sector would be beneficial.

Confident and competent driver for general medical appointments and community events.

Willingness to go the extra mile and assist in leading an independent life.

Experience of supporting adults with physical disabilities is desirable but not essential.

Employer is looking to employ a personal assistant to support various days per week which will vary between mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Applicants expected to be good timekeeper and flexible regarding hours of work and to be able to work extra hours as and when required.

Duties and tasks to be undertaken:
The assistance you provide to employer will vary but will largely involve:
To provide full support with all personal care requirements for example: support with washing, showering, bathing, dressing, medication, and cooking while ensuring appropriate levels of hygiene and any other reasonable requirements in a friendly, supportive, light-hearted, and patient way.

Assisting with meal preparation to develop cooking skills and balanced diet and cleaning area afterwards.

Assisting with daily light household duties

Assisting to use local community resources, such as the gym, cinema, and shopping locally.

Help to maintain relationships with friends and family by assisting with outings to develop traveling skills and ensuring employer is always safe.

Treat employer always respectfully, recognising the right to choose and maintain employer’s dignity.

To actively comply and operate within the bounds of Health & Safety, including manual handling, lifting techniques and first aid.

To attend any training courses that are arranged for you and that you require to undertake in order to do your job safely.

Respecting other family members and our home environment

To complete incident and accident report sheets if any incidents or accidents take place

To arrive at work at the agreed times and give appropriate notice if you cannot attend.

To administer medication at the correct times and to log this on medication sheets if required.

Skills Required:
Employer is looking for someone that can demonstrate competencies and attributes in the following areas:
Competent experienced automatic vehicle driver with full clean driving would be beneficial.

Have an up-to-date PVG from Disclosure Scotland is mandatory if not cost will be covered to apply

Have an up to date moving and handling certificate or willing to undertake training.

Previous experience working in the care sector would be beneficial.

Must be physically fit as this can be a physically demanding job.

Successful person will be required to provide 2 up to date reference contacts and willing to undergo a

new or update of the PVG disclosure scheme, at the employers cost.
