The role of the Affinity HSEF Apprentice is to support the Business Services Manager to help establish and maintain health, safety, environmental and facilities practices, procedures, and policies to reduce the risk of accidents, injuries, and health related problems, as well as supporting the management of our estates. This role covers RAF Cranwell and RAF Barkston Heath and provides support to the Business Services Manager in line with existing legislation and best practice..

As this role is an apprenticeship, formal training will be provided - Safety, Health, and Environment Technician (L3) - 24 months. Upon successful completion you will be able to join the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at Tech/IOSH level.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Driving Licence
- 5 GCSE’s A*- C including English and Math

**Apprentice must-haves**
- Keen interest in health and safety, environmental management, and facilities management.
- Passion for learning.
- Ability to attend training modules within apprenticeship learning journey.

**Essential Key behaviours**
- Positive attitude to Safety and alignment to Affinity’s Values and Behavioural charter, contributing to the HSEF Culture.
- Communicate Effectively: Be able to contribute constructively, both spoken and written.
- Be able to work within own level of competence, know when to seek advice from others.

**HSEF Apprentice Roles and responsibilities**
- Commitment to study and work towards achieving competencies set out in the apprenticeship training plan.
- Complete the training and assessments set out in the apprenticeship training plan.
- Follow the conditions set out in the employment contract.
- Perform work as directed by the Business Services Manager and Aviation Safety Manager
- Behave politely and professionally.
- Follow all legal instructions and directives.
