An exciting SEMH Instructor opportunity has become available, working on Mondays and Tuesdays.
** SEMH Instructor
** Dynamic Alternative Provision for KS3 and KS4 students
** Long-term position, working part-time
** SEMH Instructor role, starting January 2023
** £100 - £120 per day
The SEMH Instructor Role:
As an SEMH Instructor at this school, you will primarily be supervising students on their work related learning, which are vocational activities that take place off the school site. You will supervise the students whilst they are off-site and manage any challengingbehaviour in a trauma-informed manner. As an SEMH Instructor, you will also ensure that all pupils travel to and from off-site locations in a respectful manner and represent the school in a positive way at all times.
The SEMH Instructor:
To be eligible for this SEMH Instructor role, you must have experience supervising pupils with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour and SEN. You should have worked in an Alternative Provision school before, or a similar setting such as a Pupil Referral Unit. Youmust have a strong, resilient personality with excellent behaviour management and a strong ability to build up a good rapport with the pupils you are working with.

This Alternative Provision located in South Birmingham caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour that have resulted in them being permanently excluded from their mainstream setting.
