_**Recovery Support Worker - Complex Needs**_

We are currently recruiting for experienced and committed Mental Health Recovery Support Workers (Complex Needs) to join our care and support rehabilitation services based in and around Lambeth, London, supporting adults with complex mental health needs. The Focus Project is a 24-hour supported service for vulnerable male adults with a mental health diagnosis and forensic history, who require a high level of support and close monitoring to reduce the factors that may have led to their previous mental health deterioration and offending behaviour.

As a Recovery Worker your role is to provide a supportive, responsive and effective service in order to rehabilitate and reintegrate service users back into the community and provide pathways, support and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlement. Taking a holistic and person-centred approach, you will work to support individuals to identify their strengths, set goals, develop coping mechanisms and support motivation to improve their mental health and well-being.

To be successful in this role, you will have great communication and engagement skills, with the maturity to work within a framework of recovery, building confidence, self-esteem, hope and positive coping skills. You will be someone who shares our values and be committed to achieving great outcomes for our service users.

You will required to work 37.5 hours per week, in a shift pattern including weekends, bank holidays, so you’ll need to be flexible with the hours you are able to work.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and co-ordinate individual recovery and resettlement packages for the Service User liaising with the appropriate agencies and care professionals to ensure successful delivery of the plans.
- Act as the Key worker and Link Worker to named service users as designated by your line-manager
- Liaise with referral agencies and ensuring that vacancies are filled within an appropriate time scales and in-line with Penrose’s Referral Policy and void targets are met.
- Ensure that service users are aware of their rights and responsibilities regarding welfare and benefits.
- Constantly ensure there is genuine engagement with the Service users using appropriate methodologies and inventions to encourage and support their engagement and progress towards greater independence and community integration.
- Encourage service users to participate in the running and development of Service / Social Enterprise initiatives, training interventions, volunteering or work experience within the wider organisation

**Experience Required**:

- Psychology Degree / NVQ / Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care / Community Justice or professional equivalent
- Experience of working with ex-offenders with mental health issues
- Experience of drafting and agreeing support plans and providing appropriate interventions for service user
- Clear evidence and experience of successful reintegration of service users into the community
- Direct experience and understanding of providing key working and support or care planning
- Excellent and proven ability to form effective positive and motivational relationships
- Strong communication skills both written and oral with both internally and externally
