We operate both wide and narrow slitting lines and are capable of off loading and processing coils of up to 25 tonnes. **Job description**

Fork lift/crane license essential.

Experience in Steel coil trade preferably/only Unloading/loading/packing of various types of slit metal coils

As a Warehouse Operative, your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will include:
Picking, packing and wrapping steel goods
Working as a team member
Work to standard operating procedures in line with company policy
Ensure safe handling, storage & repacking of all products in line
High level of care and accuracy
Maintain high standards of site house-keeping and view all areas including the warehouse as an extension unit
Assist with inventory counting when necessary
Assist other team members with all day to day tasks as necessary
Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the Line Manager or Managing Director
Following company working policies and practices as directed
Complying with company health and safety rules and notifying your Line Manager of any concerns
Complying with company environmental policies and notify your Line Manager of any issues or concerns.
- 10 hour shift 6am-4pm
- Monday to Friday + Saturdays 5 hours +
- Overtime when requested/required.
- Paid monthly.

Skills and experience:

- Self-Motivated and disciplined
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to lift and move boxes of up to 20Kg
- Honest and trustworthy
- Respectful
- Numerical and focused on accuracy
- Pays attention to detail
- Remains calm under pressure
- H&S basic or higher desirable but not essential
- Warehouse experience would be an advantage
- Engaging and enthusiastic
