Description

Langley Furniture Works is a family run specialist cabinet making and joinery firm in the heart of Northumberland. We produce, finish and fit a large variety of products including:
Sliding sash windows

Doors and frames

Kitchens

Staircases

Large outdoor structures

We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our team of experienced joiners and learn all aspects of Bench Joinery.

The successful applicant will be involved in learning all the stages of production frorm planning and manufacturing to finishing and fitting. The majority of the work is based in the workshop in Langley, near Hexham. You will be working alongside our commited team of joiners, finishers, fitters and older apprentices to learn the trade first hand.

Entry requirements

The successful applicant will need to be keen, reliable and hardworking and have the ability to cope with the physical demands of the role. The ability to travel to and from Durham College and the Langley Workshop is essential.

Training to be provided

In addition, you will be enrolled onto a Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery course and attend college once a week.

Things to consider

One day a week at New College Durham for training. Maths and English grade 4/c desired but can be studied at New College Durham.
