Loading Shovel, Telehandler and Plant Operator

**GrainCo Ltd Piercebridge Grain Store**

GrainCo Ltd are looking to employ a Machinery and Plant Operator at their Wilton Grainstore on a full-time basis. Main duties will include operating a loading shovels and telehandler to load lorries and push up bulk products, operating plant (conveyors and elevators) and general store duties such as maintenance, repair and cleaning.

Basic Purpose and Function
- Handling bulk products, mainly grain, in and out of Store
- Cleaning and Drying grain.
- Operate Loading Shovel and/or Telehandler, loading lorries and pushing up bulk products
- Maintaining and repairing machines
- Operate Grain handling Equipment such as Conveyors and Elevators and bin complex
- Maintaining and repairing plant
- Operate Grain Dryer
- Maintaining and repairing Grain Dryers
- General Duties such as cleaning, tiding and keeping site in good order
- Understanding and adhering to Health and Safety Policies

Position
- Reports to Site Manager

Other
- Normal working hours 7am to 5pm
- Expected to work additional hours, weekends or nights to meet Business requirements
- Will occasionally be required to travel to other facilities both in the North East of England

**Skills**:

- Requires proven experience operating plant and machinery with the ability to repair and maintain
- Requires a comprehensive understanding of Plant and Equipment maintenance in a comparable industry
- Extremely organised, reliable and good time keeper
- Sensible, conscientious approach to getting work done
- Grain store or Arable farming experience would be beneficial
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.

Education/Experience
- Over 5 years’ experience operating plant and machinery
- Full UK driving Licence
- CPCS card holder with Loading Shovel and Telehandler license
