Job Title: Receptionist

Reports to: Reception Manager

Job Purpose: Dealing with guests checking in and out of the Hotel, queries from guests, answering the phone, and making reservations.

Main Duties:

- To report to work on time, according to the rota, in the correct uniform in a presentable state, as set out in the staff handbook.
- To ensure that guest satisfaction is paramount at all times. Offer all customers and guests, polite, courteous and friendly service, and be prepared to go out of your way to help a customer - this includes having a general knowledge of all the facilities at the Hotel.
- Always conduct yourself in a professional manner with the utmost discretion at all times.
- To deal with guest arrivals and guest checkouts.
- To take reservations for accommodation and restaurant bookings.
- To “upsell” whenever possible.
- To deal with confirmations and chase unconfirmed bookings.
- To ensure that all invoices and brochure requests are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- To ensure that all cash handling procedures are adhered to at all times - the daily banking and deposits.
- Responsible for the safe keys and ensuring maximum security is adhered to at all times.
- To accurately record any messages for guests and colleagues and ensure they are passed on.
- To maximise room and sleeper occupancy through efficient rooms management.
- To deal with over bookings and book-outs in a professional and courteous manner.
- To complete the daily occupancy sheet.
- To attend reception meetings, partake in fire drills and attend fire training sessions as required.
- To deal with customer complaints and report any incidences to the Duty Manager.
- To adhere to all Hygiene, Health and Safety and Fire procedures at all times.
- To report any maintenance issues, and any accidents to the Management.
- To develop and maintain a good working relationship with my colleagues.
- To project an image of courteous efficiency to all guests. To ensure a guests stay is a pleasant and memorable experience.
- Encourage repeat business and development new business.
- To undertake any other duty which may be reasonably requested by management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Worksop, S80 3PA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
