Harlow, United Kingdom The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust Full time

An opportunity is available at Princess Alexandra Hospital for a Medical Laboratory Assistant.

If successful, you will play an important part in contributing to the clinical care of patients within the hospital and the wider community.

If you are self-motivated and have great communication and customer service skills, we'd love to hear from you. Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but training will be provided if needed.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform phlebotomy on a wide range of patients, including children, those on wards and those in outpatient phlebotomy clinics at Princess Alexandra Hospital. You will also travel to other Trust sites as well as community clinics.

In addition, you will be responsible for preparing samples for the laboratory prior to analysis, including data entry and labelling of specimens, so attention-to-detail is paramount.
