LINK Fife Mental Health Adolescent Befriending Project aims to help young people (12 to 18 year olds) improve their resilience, self-esteem, confidence and mental wellbeing, through the support of a consistent and reliable befriender

**Job description**

We are currently seeking Volunteer Befrienders for our Adolescent Project in North East Fife and Levenmouth. Can you spare a minimum of 2 hours fortnightly? You will need to be a good listener, have the ability to empathise and have a willingness to learn.
In return you will receive generous expenses to cover travel and activities, ongoing training, regular support and hopefully a great deal of enjoyment.

You would be supporting a vulnerable young person who has become socially isolated due to a mental health issue. Befrienders need to be reliable and consistent and must be able to commit to 2 hours per fortnight. Meetings with your young person take place in the community, provide practical, emotional and social support.
