Due to departmental expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for an additional Legal Assistant within our Wills, Trusts & Probate department. This role is full time working out of our Ringwood office.

We strive to provide a high quality service to our clients and to continuously develop. **Carla Brown** is the head of the Wills, Trusts & Probate team and is ranked in Band 1 in the Chambers & Partners High Net Worth Guide (Southampton and Surrounds 2023) for private wealth law, recognised as “a highly experienced private wealth law expert who advises on domestic and international planning matters”

Main Responsibilities as a Legal Assistant:

- Provide professional personal assistance to lawyers
- Manage diaries and book appointments
- Take initial enquiries and allocate them appropriately within the department
- Assist in communication with clients, taking telephone calls and accurately recording messages and providing assistance wherever possible
- Use of case management system
- Open and close files
- Storage and retrieval of documents
- To provide some audio typing using BigHand
- Provide such general secretarial/administrative activities as are required
- With training undertake basic paralegal tasks on client matters

Key skills required:

- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
- Great attention to detail
- Impeccable organisational and prioritisation skills
- Good knowledge of Word and Excel
- Team player
