Group Financial Controller

Our Client has a newly created role available, founded upon continuing impressive growth of the business, joining an experienced and professionally qualified accounts team to support the following expectations:
**Key Tasks**:
- Taking immediate responsibility of the planned staged integration of Sage Eque II real time group management system (experience preferred, not essential) to support 8 independent trading companies in a rapidly growing contracting group, which will reportover £30m turnover in the current financial year;
- Liaising with the Finance Director throughout, taking day to day responsibility for system interrogation, testing and communications such that the planned staged integration over the coming 12 months is delivered seamlessly in parallel with existing traditionalaccounting reporting systems.
- Taking responsibility for 2 key operational divisions as Financial Controller
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting directly to the Group Finance Director
- Working with the Group Finance Manager to ensure timely, accurate and robust monthly reporting is deliverable for these divisions
- Upon completion of the Eque II installation project you will;
- be encouraged to develop your role to support the continued growth of the existing group;
- assist with the quality and dissemination of real time management information to Group and Operational Board members as the Group moves towards the delivery of a targeted £75-£100m turnover based representation over the next 3 -5 years.
**Qualifications / Experience / knowledge required**:
- A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) - potentially qualified by experience - capable of demonstrating
- Experience of accounting within a group reporting structure, focused upon divisional performance as well as overall group performance;
- Inquisitive and analytical skills;
- Strong IT skills, conversant with Sage accounting products generally and covering advanced Excel / Power BI skills to support the automation of management reporting on a daily basis
- Strong commercial skills able to complement your accounting skills;
- A strong communicator, someone that will recognise, embrace and overcome change management toward a digital based reporting culture;
- A strong understanding of the construction industry contracting market would be an advantage
- Strong people management skills
**Working Hours**:
- 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday
**R eward and benefit**:
Offering a salary of £50-65k dependant on experience.
