Senior Support Worker

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at The Lighthouse, a specialist residential home for young people aged 13 - 18 with complex mental health needs and associated risk-taking behaviors.
**About Us**:
The Lighthouse provides a therapeutic environment for young people with complex mental health challenges. As part of the Priory health division, we are committed to delivering high-quality care and support to our residents.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Providing high-quality care and support to young people according to their individual care plans.
- Assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Promoting independence and encouraging residents to engage in therapeutic activities and interventions.
- Monitoring and documenting resident progress and behaviors, and reporting any concerns or changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Leading and supporting a team of care staff to ensure the delivery of person-centered care and adherence to therapeutic principles.
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations and therapeutic practices.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in a similar role within the healthcare or social care sector is desirable.
- Willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to support young people with complex mental health needs.
