Early Years Practitioner

Smallworld Nursery are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to work as an effective member of an early year’s team delivering a high-quality child centres service, which meets the needs of children and their families.

You would be actively involved in the planning and implementation of a curricular programme which meets the needs of the individual child in line with National and Local Standards. Also, knowledge of Child Development would be ideal.

Confident in observations and interactions with children in order to support their learning and record and report on individual children’s progress in line with the nursery’s policy and procedures.

Participate in all aspects of team work within the unit including training of students, preparation and care of resources, maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene and contributing of staff discussions.

Applicants should hold a HNC or SVQ 3 in Early Education, or equivalent.

This role requires registration with the SSSC, therefor applicants should hold or be working towards the appropriate qualifications for registration.

Salary based on 37.50 hours a week for fully qualified Early Years Practitioner having completed 6 month probation period.
