Overview:
**Change Grow Live** are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each user as an individual and working with them to find the right treatment and care options.

A fantastic, new opportunity has arisen to become an **Alcohol Practitioner with a Women and Inclusion Lead** focus within our Kensington and Chelsea Change Grow Live Alcohol service. You will support on leading the women’s specific pathway in Kensington and Chelsea, which provides women-only spaces and interventions to improve engagement, including with survivors of VAWG. You will be the lead on attending and contributing to MARAC meetings on a monthly basis.

In addition to supporting the women’s pathway, you will champion and lead on increasing engagement and numbers in treatment with minority groups within the borough by building relationships with partners and faith based community groups to promote the service.

You will be open, compassionate, and driven to provide the very best care and support for everyone. You will need to be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with multiple teams internally and externally.

You will be focused on helping people to achieve positive outcomes by coordinating their personalised recovery journey, through thorough assessment and support planning. As well as overseeing their participation in group programmes, courses, treatment, and medical reviews, whilst continually managing risk and minimising harm.

**Allowances**: £4,072.06 Inner London Weighting

**Hours**: 37.5 per week

**Salary**: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 Pro Rata (CGL Scale 23 - 28) dependent on experience

**Contract Type**: Fixed Term - 12 Months

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- To contribute to the reduction of alcohol-related harm to th residents of the local area
- Act as main care coordinator overseeing assigned groups of service users
- Coordinate a tailor-made package of care including recognised psychosocial interventions; 1 to1 key work, POD, and group work; clinical interventions; harm minimisation and brief interventions
- Work with clinicians to support prescribing regimes to improve social functioning
- Help individuals to develop recovery resources and access peer and mutual support groups to develop their own recovery capital
- Provide outreach services and work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at the service named above alongside specialist agencies to deliver high quality provision

**About you**:
- Knowledge of substance misuse and related issues, through a previous professional role, academic study or from personal recovery experience.
- experience of managing caseloads of people and know how to manage risk and minimise harm
- Experience of delivering a wide range of psychosocial Interventions to alcohol misusers
- Knowledge and experience of working in line with NICE guidelines Alcohol Pathways
- Experience of delivering harm reduction advice in relation to alcohol misuse
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency
- Excellent time management skills, and an ability to work on own initiative, prioritising accordingly
- Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining
a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives
- Ability to communicate complex information to individuals and groups in a way that is easily understood
