Experienced Dog Groomer/stylist

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Dog Groomer/Stylist to join our passionate team at The Muddy Paw, Dobbies Garden Centre, Andover, SP11 7DN.

**The role**

Dog Groomer/Stylist Role
- This is a senior role. The successful applicant will need to be able to work unsupervised, performing all aspects of grooming to the highest breed standard or specific client requirements. They must be able to clip, scissor and hand strip all dogs with confidence. We have an extensive client list in place with a reputation for excellent grooming and gentle handling that should be continued.

Upselling additional add-on services like spa treatments, as well as re-booking clients for future appointments will be strongly encouraged.

**About you as a GROOMER**

You will be responsible for grooming to a high standard, you should have the knowledge to carry out basic health checks, identify signs of infection or other skin conditions, bath, dry and style all dogs to 'breed standard' or customer specification in good time.

The importance of hygiene within the salon is paramount and you will be responsible for daily and weekly cleaning of the salon.

**Skills and qualifications**

Experienced in working within a grooming environment: preferably 2 years.

It is essential that you can complete a groom from start to finish on most breeds to a high standard.

Passionate about pets and people - wanting to be part of a successful salon and proactive in your approach.

You will be a team player and will have the drive and commitment to help your team.

Proficient at effectively managing a salon diary (paper & online).

Sociable, with strong communication skills

Willingness to learn new skills and techniques on the job.
