We are currently looking for a part-time dog walker and cat sitter to join our well established, friendly and supportive team.

This is a **part-time **role starting out at 2 day per week with potential to grow in the coming months. **Approximate hours are 10am
- 3pm depending on bookings. **You will be needed on Tuesday and Wednesdays every week and holiday cover. You will also need to do cat visits in the morning and afternoon before and after your dog rounds.

The role requires that you have your **own car and a clean current driving licence**. You must be comfortable to walk **4 to 5 dogs at a time** and be able to pick up and drop off in your car. We are a very tight team with lovely clients so you will receive proper training and support to make sure you are comfortable with all the pups before walking on your own.

**We operate in all weathers so you must be prepared to get wet and muddy**. Any equipment needed, including towels to clean dogs off will be provided.

Being a Dog Walker/Pet sitter is a wonderful and unique job. It can be very rewarding and lots of fun but does come with its difficulties. You will be in charge of up to 4 or 5 dogs each time which can be very physical and testing and will need to be able to think on your feet in any given situation.

As a small company, we rely heavily on our walkers and **reliability is absolutely essential. **We need you to turn up on time every day that you work - if you aren’t 100% sure you can commit to this, please do not apply

Requirements:
- An animal based qualification or experience caring for animals.
- A DBS check.
- Able to work on own initiative
- An understanding of dog behaviour and training methods.
- Physically fit and happy to work in all weather conditions.
- A good manner with people
- Have a full UK driving licence and own vehicle able to transport 4 (sometimes muddy) dogs.
- You need to be confident and have a logical approach to looking after animals.

You will be covered under Lucky Paws insurance.

This is a self-employed position wherein you are hired as a contractor under a Lucky Paws pet care contract.

Rate of pay is £10 an additional £5 per day to cover fuel and any parking. We also pay £5 for each cat visit
