This role is ideal for someone seeking progression in their construction career.

A solid overall construction knowledge is required, for us it’s about finding the right person to join our team.

The role:
To work with closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers and the site teams to effectively and efficiently manage major projects to the desired quality level.
- Responsible for overseeing simultaneous projects from initiation to completion
- Effective planning
- Programming and procurement
- H&S and other relevant compliance standards
- Managing site teams and subcontractors
- ‘Making sure materials on site’
- Effective liaison with engineers and tenants

Key Requirements:

- Knowledge of Construction Health and Safety Regulations
- SMSTS/SSSTS (preferred)
- CSCS card (preferred)

Skills & Experience:

- Work towards early completion on all projects
- To work to minimise waste and enhance profit at all times
- To efficiently manage allocation of labour
- To focus, plan and prioritise with attention to detail
- To take responsibility for the accurate completion
- To develop, record and seek to continually improve procedures
- To identify potential and nurture for succession

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chelmsford, Essex: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- contract management: 1 year (preferred)
