Royal Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom Little Cottage Nursery School Full time

Responsibilities:

- Create and implement age-appropriate plans and activities for young children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Have responsibility for a group of key children - monitor and assess each child's progress, establish next steps, and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones
- Work closely with our SENCO to identify/support children with additional needs and liaise with other professionals where appropriate
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns

Qualifications:

- Level 2/3 Early Years Educator or equivalent
- Previous experience working with young children in a formal or informal setting preferable
- Knowledge of the EYFS, Development Matters/Birth To Five, and Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education

**Skills**:

- Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate plans and activities
- Knowledge of various teaching methods and strategies for young children
- Strong observation skills to assess each child's progress and identify areas for improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and other professionals
- Organisational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 17 - 42 per week
