**About the Employer**

I am looking for 2 PA's to help my husband, he requires, someone who has understanding of Parkinson's and Parkinson's dementia, or who is willing to take direction. It is important that you can build a rapport and friendship with my husband. In the hours required it could be anything from personal care, administering medication, companionship, helping with exercises to build muscle mass, possible assistance to hospital or GP, or assisting with hobbies for my husband. There are a total of 28 hours a week, to be shared between 2 PA's, working hours will be discussed further at interview.

**About the Role**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
- Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
- Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
- Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
- Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
- Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
- Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

- Previous caring experience is essential.
- Flexibility would be an advantage as the hours may be variable.

**Required Training**

Moving and Handling. PA must already hold relevant qualification.

First Aid. PA must already hold relevant qualification.

**Specific days/times required**:

- Monday, 1.30pm - 6.00pm
- Tuesday, 1.30pm - 6.00pm
- Wednesday, 5pm - 10pm
- Thursday, 1.30pm -6.00pm
- Friday, 1.30pm -6.30pm
- Saturday, 7pm
- 11.30pm

**Dates and times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 28 per week

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
