**Days & Hours**: Day shifts: 8.00am to 8.00pm, Waking Night shifts: 8.00pm to 8.00am. 10 shifts per month with a mix of day and nights on a fixed Rota.

**About this client/child**:
Matt, 29, has a great interest in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and has even named the family’s new puppy after his favourite fighter He likes to watch fights on TV and attend live fights at venues around the country. Matt’s other passion is studying economicsand Math’s at Open University. Matt enjoys quiet times and often doesn’t need much stimulation and input from those around him, as he is independent with his AAC eye tracking technology, which he uses to work his laptop and to communicate. Matt lives withhis Mum and Dad, a live in carer, and has a full ‘live out’ care team to support his needs day and night. Matt is on a ventilator at night, has quadriplegia from a spinal injury and requires full 2:1 support with all personal care and support.
**Overview of role**:
Matt is seeking a committed and confident Support Worker to assist him in his daily routines; providing personal care, administering medication (if required), feeding, repositioning, and at night, to keep an eye and ear on him whilst he is on his ventilator
- which he relies on 100% at night. Matt’s support workers are all part of a close team, which is supported fully by his parents. If working the waking night shift, you will be in Matt’s room with him, you can have a small light to read with or watch somethingquietly. Matt usually sleeps well. Shifts are 12 hours each, there are 10 shifts per month for this full-time role. Daytime shifts: 8.00am to 8.00pm. Waking Night shifts: 8.00pm to 8.00am. Pay is £18.00 gross per hour. There is the option for annual leaveand sickness cover. Full details of the Rota can be discussed with the family.
**Who this job would suit**:
Full training in all aspects of Matt’s care will be provided by his parents and the experienced staff in the team. This position would suit a *Female Support Worker who is keen to learn all skills in a client specific way and someone who has a genuine interestin caring.
