You will have on the job experience of working with motor vehicles and ideally a relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards completing one within two years. You will develop work placement opportunities with local employers to help ouryoung people put their skills into practice. Ideally, you’ll have experience of dealing with complex education needs, as you’ll need to connect with our young people - understanding what makes them unique and working to make a real difference to their socialand emotional development. But none of this fazes you, as it’s what you’re passionate about and why you’ll fit right in.
Pontville School is a co-educational, independent specialist day and residential school, providing education and care for up to 140 pupils between the ages of 5 and 19 years with social communication difficulties, ASD and speech, language and communicationdifficulties. The school is set in fantastic grounds, allowing us to deliver a creatively designed curriculum, aimed at providing pupils with opportunities so that they can reach milestones in education and make progress with their emotional wellbeing andsocial development.
