Pembrokeshire, United Kingdom Pembrokeshire County Council Full time

The Resettlement Team deliver support to refugee families across Pembrokeshire, many of whom would find it challenging to integrate into our community. The team is responsible for managing their resettlement by proactively and preventatively ensuring that individual and family needs are met.

As a Lead Worker in Resettlement Team, your role is pivotal to the successful delivery of the project by supporting the Ukrainian families with settling in the county. This includes but is not limited to: support with school admissions, wellbeing and support, housing and move-on into long term accommodation. Your responsibility will be to provide a key worker role with families and their children who are identified as having more than one enduring need including those with a diagnosed disability.

These families wish to make positive changes to their home life and your support will help to make and sustain those changes. You will work with the Senior Social Work Practitioner and the Resettlement Project Manager who will identify families that would benefit from your specific time limited support to prevent escalating need.

You must have five GCSE grade C or equivalent (to include English Language) and have previous experience of working within an administrative or supervisory capacity.

This policy applies to all Council employees and workforce, councillors, volunteers and also service providers that are commissioned by the Council. Safeguarding is everyone's business whether they work for, or on behalf of, the Council.
