Workstream Lead

Maidstone, United Kingdom Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust Full time

KMPN is implementing a new LIMS across the whole county, replacing four disparate systems across seven hospitals. The new LIMS is the key clinical priority for the network, to be followed by new analytical equipment alongside digital pathology projects and workforce transformation.

We are seeking three highly dynamic, collaborative and engaging work stream leads for the WinPath Enterprise LIMS Implementation across the network.

The roles are based within the LIMS project team and the wider Programme Management Office (PMO). We are hybrid working across ICB offices, hospital laboratories and home. Flexible working is supported to meet the needs of colleagues and the service.

The post holder will manage their workstreams on a day to day basis, ensuring they are planned and managed effectively; and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.

**Workstreams**:

- Analyser
- the new LIMS the system is being built to communicate with pathology analysers across the labs in Kent & Medway. The work stream lead will create strong working relationship with pathology leads to create effective functional and user acceptance testing plans. Also to have a good understanding of the electronic communication methods within the laboratory workflow between a LIMS, middleware and analysers and to support delivery of the requirements between the supplier and the pathology teams.
- Data Migration
- the implementation of a new LIMS requires a number of data migrations: patient master index; facility for patient results trending and cross-checking as part of cut-over from legacy to new LIMS, and a data depository that allows look-up of past patient records which is framed by legislation and accreditation standards. The work stream lead will have the ability to create strong working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders with potentially competing requirements to deliver the required outcomes.
- Integration
- WinPath Enterprise sits at the centre of the pathology services across Kent and Medway and will be linked to a wide range of other clinical IT systems across the local health economy. The lead will ensure the build is implemented to the required standard and supports both the functional and user acceptance testing stages through an effective plan co-created with all the pathology disciplines and other stakeholders.
