Payroll Clerk

**MAPAL Group** is looking for an **Edinburgh** based **Payroll Clerk **for a **Maternity Cover.**

**Your main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Support monthly payroll (with support from HR and Finance staff) and keep organised records thereof.
- Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed.
- Process and reconcile bank transactions.
- Process tax and supplier payments.
- Support Management Accountant with month end procedures.
- Process and reconcile staff expenses on a monthly basis.
- Provide other administrative /ad hoc support to the Head of Finance and Management Accountant.
- Participate in annual audits.

**You'll bring**:

- Good knowledge of UK payroll environment highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of UK VAT desirable.

**You have**:

- Experience processing UK payroll essential.
- Bookkeeping / financial processing experience desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / Xero payroll highly desirable.
- Experience of working within finance team preferable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £25,000.00 per year
