Yard Assistant

**Job Description: Yard hand / Vehicle Valeter**

**Principal duties**:

- Clean commercial vehicles using a daily or weekly schedule which may vary from time to time.
- Use appropriate materials and techniques for cleaning, which present the vehicles to a high standard.
- Externally wash the vehicles, clean the windows and wheels. Internally clean, dust and vacuum as required.
- Report any damage or defects which you notice.
- Check the coolant and oil levels of vehicles.
- Plan and control the parking of vehicles in the yard to minimise accidents and allow good access at all times. The safety of people in the yard is paramount and you should endeavour to control the access of the public and staff accordingly.
- Maintain the yard in a clean and safe condition.

**Skills and requirements**:

- You need to be fit and strong, the work is physical and you will be working outdoors in all weathers.
- Punctuality is very important.
- You need to enjoy working and communicating with others.

**Salary**: £9.18-£9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Rowley Regis, B65 0RE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Valeting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
