Here at Five Education we believe in full-time, hands-on experience in the classroom and to be fully immersed in the life of a SEN Teaching Assistant. This role would be perfect for anyone looking to gain paid experience ahead of completing their teaching trainingin the future.
Five Education is supporting a warm and welcoming School in Swindon. They are looking for someone who either has experience working in a similar environment or who is quick to learn. They need to be proactive and able to get to know the children so they canbest meet their needs, encouraging them to be as independent as possible in all their learning.
Responsibilities and duties:
Working 1:1 or with small groups for inventions
Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics
Liaising with the class teacher around pupil progress
Helping the class teacher to engage pupils in lessons
Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classrooms
Essential Criteria:
Be compassionate and patient
Be creative, friendly, and approachable
Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
Two recent child/vulnerable adult-based references and relevant DBS/Police checks
Access to bicycle, car, or near main bus routes
Available to work 2-5 days a week, 8:30-15:30.
