Transport Clerk

**Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm**
**£22,230 per year**

**Role Summary**:
We are looking for a transport clerk to help the team manage the operation on a day-to-day basis, where you will be tracking deliveries, booking in drivers, dealing with general administration and managing our customers. **Transport experience is essential.**

**Responsibilities and Objectives**:

- To ensure that the despatching/loading module is kept up to date in accordance with the site processes
- Efficiently and accurately dispatch deliveries with any relevant delivery paperwork or other required information
- To utilise customer systems to update despatch or delivery information where required
- Monitor the return of empty equipment from deliveries
- Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival at site as required
- Monitor the service board to make sure the correct week number is on the correct trailer for depot trailers

**Skills required**:

- Good level of IT and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook
- Excellent level of communication with the ability to read and understand instructions
- Positive attitude
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
