**Job Description**:
We are looking for an Emergency Planning Officer for an immediate start ongoing temporary assignment based in Bridgend.

**Pay Rate**: £15.63 per hour
**Hours**:37.5hours Monday to Friday
- Hybrid working with off site meetings._

**Working within the Emergency Planning team, your duties will include:

- Undertake the preparation and continuing development of arrangements to meet the Authority's obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act.- Risk Assessment; Emergency Planning; Business Continuity; Provision of Warning & Informing the Public; Cooperation and Information sharing with Category 1 & 2 organisations; and Training & Exercises.- To deliver the work programme in relation to the Civil Contingencies Act and other associated legislation concerned with the preparedness for emergencies (e.g., REPPIR, MAHP etc).- To support each Directorate in Business Continuity resilience arrangements to enable them to deliver services throughout any serious business interruption through the preparation, validation, and revision of their identified critical functions.- Keep abreast of changes to policy, legislation and government guidance and incorporate adjustments into planning arrangements.- To work in partnership with local authorities, emergency services and other external organisations, enhancing the emergency planning strategy, policies, and procedures.- Create single and multi-agency training packages on all aspects of Emergency Planning.- Assist in the organisation and co-ordination of emergency planning exercises with both internal and external partners and work with partner agencies (including the emergency services) to ensure any multi-agency planning and training is effective and co-ordinated.**Qualifications:

- Be a member of the EPS for Emergency Planners- Hold a quantification in Emergency Planning- Full UK Driving Licence**Knowledge & Experience:

- Experience in a technical/specialist/advisory role within a large, complex organisation or operation/function/service.- Experience in the field of emergency planning, resilience, and response- Experience of developing, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures and setting targets.- Demonstrable experience of devising & delivering training.- Understanding of the duties of local authorities under the Civil Contingencies Act.- Experience of providing creative and logical responses to emergencies and/or working with the emergency servicesPlease call the office on 02920 220776 if you have any questions.
