Specialist Medical Physics Technologist

This is an opportunity for an RCT registered technologist to join a small experienced team covering the support of a wide range of critical care, monitoring, diagnostic and imaging equipment within University Hospital Crosshouse.

**Qualifications**:
A degree in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent qualifications, is essential, however alternative qualifications, complemented by an acceptable knowledge, training and experience profile, to meet the required person specification, will be considered.
- Knowledge & Experience
- You must have in-depth knowledge of the clinical and technical aspects of a wide range of electro medical equipment and be able to demonstrate a high level of fault finding ability on electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Significant relevant post-qualification experience in managing electro medical equipment is required with experience as a Medical Physics Technologist preferred.
- Relevant experience should include:
- Experience and training in medical physics technology at Specialist Medical Physics Technologist level
- Experience acquired by working in close relationship with lead clinicians/practitioners in specialist areas
- Practical experience on a broad range of complex medical equipment
- Experience using a medical equipment database
- Follows Good Scientific Practice
- Application of technology to medical equipment in healthcare
- Training of clinical, nursing or other technical staff
- Working knowledge of relevant electro medical equipment and workplace legislation, national standards, quality standards, professional and other guidelines.
