**Job summary**:
The Storekeeper position is a vital role at Bicester Garrison Support Unit. The Quartermaster team provides the complete package of all Garrison hard & soft Facilities Management support services. We have a wide-ranging customer base, serving Service Personnel from all three Military services, MoD Civilians & MoD Contractors. All aspect of the role are completed, implemented & handled in accordance with current Regulations

**Job description**:
Provide high quality stores support to all areas with the Bicester Garrison Areas of Responsibility. This is a widely varied busy multi tasked role The incumbent will be required to complete all areas within the working week. These duties require the incumbent to visit all sites that are geographically split; therefore, a full UK driving licence is required. Unit self-drive vehicles are provided.

The Quartermaster Department is part of Headquarters Bicester Garrison & Bicester Garrison Support Unit. The team provide the complete package of Stores & Logistics support to 35 Organisations, comprising of circa 200 Service Personnel from all three Military services across 7 geographically split sites. All aspect of the works are completed, implemented & handled in accordance with Joint Service Policy, Regulations & ad-hoc Directives promulgated by the Chain of Command.

**Responsibilities**:
The applicant would be required provide Storekeeping duties ensuring a multitude of stores are available to all the Units that the department supports throughout the Bicester Garrison area.

This position is a mixture of both outside and inside working, it is a physically fast paced job working within a small team
- Control of St Georges Barracks Armoury ensuring the correct issue and receipt of all weapons held.
- Nominated supervisor to 4 Skill Zone 1 Labourers.
- Using MJDI complete demands/issues and receipts as per the Defence Logistics Framework.
- Provide cover for other members of the team during periods of absences.
- Driving delivering and collecting stores within the Garrison and other Units.
- Maintenance and improvements to the estate development plan as advised.
- Supervise Labouring team in the preparation and return of both transit/permanent staff accommodation for up to 400 personnel transiting through Garrison accommodation on a weekly basis.
- Completion of mandatory online training will be needed, of which there are a number of courses.
- The role requires computer use daily via MODNET.

Full UK Driving licence is required, duties include travelling between sites to collect & deliver stores. Vehicles provided but not drivers as all vehicles are self drive. Units range from 1 mile upwards for stores duty detail.
