We are looking for a Head Barista who will take ownership of managing all aspects of the Aida Cafe’s daily routines. Big part of this role is the customer service and coffee making (we sell Allpress coffee) but the job will also include training the new staff and taking ownership of all supply ordering for the cafe.

**Customer service**
- Excellent coffee making and latte art skills an ability to train on them
- Ability to dial in espresso and filter coffee. Additional training will be provided
- Consistently providing great tasting coffee and tasty beverages
- Able to work quickly and efficiently during busy periods
- Provide outstanding customer service by being fully committed to addressing the needs of the customer
- Preparing pastries and sandwiches for customers in the morning following company recipes and hygiene guidelines
- Ensuring pastries are displayed neatly and stored correctly

**Waste management**
- Changing order quantities to meet the needs of the business with minimum wastage
- Keeping track of daily wastage by filling out excel and communicating results to cafe manager

**Sales**
- Communicating the weekly sales and expenses to cafe manager
- Updating all cafe receipts to HubDoc and coding them correctly weekly
- Tracking all cafe expenses to shared excel consistently and accurately

**Communication**
- Communicating daily and weekly tasks to other baristas
- Overseeing that the other baristas uphold the weekly and daily tasks
- Delegating any tasks that need to be done outside of the working days to other baristas to complete

**Ordering**
- Independently in charge of all ordering for the cafe: food supplies, coffee, cups, fruits for smoothies etc.
- Ordering any needed cleaning supplies for the cafe and keeping them stocked at all times
- Communicating cake and pastries needs to the cafe manager so amounts can be increased or decreased when needed

**Training**
- Training the new baristas in all areas. Making coffee, smoothies, juices etc
- Organising AllPress training for the new baristas to take place as soon as possible from start date
- Communicating any additional training needs to the cafe manager

**Inventory**
- Making sure all products taken from cafe are paid for
- Carrying out stock takes when requested

**Organising**
- Making sure the cafe area and back of house is tidy and organized at all times
- Producing and keeping daily and weekly checklists up to date and ensuring team is using them
- Facilitating cleaning and defrosting of freezers when needed
- Ensuring pastries are stored correctly
- Ensuring the right amount of stock is taken to be defrosted in the evening ready for the next day-Adhering to health, safety and sanitation guidelines
- Looking after all equipment and maintain the highest standard of cleanliness
