Interim Senior Accountant

A manufacturing business based in Bridlington is currently recruiting for an Interim Senior Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis until 30th June 2023. The successful Interim Senior Accountant will receive a competitive salary of between £35k
- £40k, based on experience and qualifications.

The Interim Senior Accountant will work closely with the two senior management accountants to support the Finance Director through a period of transition and system changes.

Ideally the successful individual will be enthusiastic and hardworking with a 'can-do' attitude. You will be able to work to deadlines under pressure, show strong attention to detail and thrive in a team environment.

Key responsibilities of the Interim Senior Accountant will include:

- Providing pro-active support to the Finance Director and working closely, when required, with the Senior Leadership team
- Assist the senior finance team with identifying/implementing improvements to systems, reconciliations, and finance reports
- Review financial information prepared by members of the accounts team
- Assist with budgeting/forecasting, customer SKU reviews and product trend analysis, balance sheet modelling and capacity modelling
- Assist with all areas of the finance team including Year-end statutory accounts preparation and stock analysis
- Internal report changes arising from implementation of new systems and completing internal reviews once these have been launched
- Review and critique existing financial reporting and recommend changes / enhancements
- Working with various departments on the tax liabilities and the implications to business
- Any other reasonable duties in line with the role

To be successful in this Interim Senior Accountant opportunity you must:

- Be qualified or QBE in both management accounts and financial statutory accounts
- Be experienced in costing, compliance, and tax
- Have advanced excel and PowerPoint skills
- Hold a GCSE (or equivalent standard) of English Language and Maths
- Be able to influence and develop team members

Knowledge of ERP systems and a background within a manufacturing environment are desirable but not essential.

I would be keen to speak with individuals who are currently in a Senior Accountant role as well as Financial Accountants, Interim Accountants, Company Accountants and Management Accountants with Financial accounting experience.

This role is easily commutable from Scarborough, Filey, Sledmere, Driffield, Hornsea and the surrounding areas.
