With a Patient a List-Size of nearly 9,000, we are keen to provide our patients with the services they need, improve patient outcomes, and to give continuity of care.

We are a friendly, well established Practice, and supportive team, with a wealth of expertise and knowledge to share.

We have a varied group of clinicians, with GP Partners, salaried GPs, Medical Students and Registrars, sitting alongside Social Prescribers, Health Coaches, In-House Pharmacists, Mental Health Workers, Nurse Practitioners, HCA’s and all our Care-Coordinator & Admin Teams.

**Job Summary**:

- **Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective manner.**:

- **Provide general assistance to the Practice Team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.**

**Administration**:

- **To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice Procedures.**:

- **To work in accordance of Written Protocols.**:

- **Filing, Photo-Copying and E-Mailing.**:

- **Contacting patients via Telephone, Text or E-Mail for Appointments.**:

- **Registering New Patients.**:

- **Call/Recall for QOF Targets.**:

- **Completing tasks in an organised and timely manner.**

**Reception**:

- **Checking Patients in and helping with any queries they may have.**:

- **Handing post, prescriptions, sample kits etc, to patients and checking their names and addresses.**:

- **Dealing with Prescription Requests.**:

- **Opening/Closing of Reception Front Desk when necessary.**

**Telephones**:

- **Ensure the Telephone is answered in a timely and polite manner.**:

- **Process Appointment Requests for today/future appointments.**:

- **Manage calls from Hospitals and third party organisations effectively.**

**Person Specification Qualifications**:

- **Essential GCSE Grade A*-C in English and Maths or Equivalent.**:

- **Previous experience with the NHS and working knowledge of EMIS Web (Clinical System) will be advantageous.**:

- **Disclosure and Barring Service Check.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
