Pay Rate: £10.42

Hours: 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM

Days: Monday to Friday

Location: Plymouth, PL1

**Key Accountabilities**
:

- Providing administrative support as the point of front-facing client contact.
- Handling and processing both manual and computerized information with utmost accuracy, confidentiality, and security.
- Financial responsibilities, including accounting for monies.

**Role Outcomes & Measures**
:

- Prompt and efficient customer service.
- Ensuring accurate data and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Proper coding of budget expenditure for precise budget monitoring.

**Essential Qualifications & Knowledge**
:

- Up-to-date proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- GCSE grade A*-C (9-4) or equivalent in Maths and English.
- NVQ II Business and Administration or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualifications & Knowledge:

- BTec Finance and Administration or equivalent.
- Understanding of information security and data protection.
- Knowledge relevant to specific service areas, e.g., finance, adoption processes.

Essential Experience:

- Prior experience in clerical or administrative environments.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
- Teamwork experience.
- Customer-facing work experience.

Desirable Experience:

- Note-taking experience.
- Familiarity with systems like Carefirst, Capita 1, or ChildView.
- Experience with finance systems and statutory children's services.

Essential Skills:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal and external meetings.
- Tactful communication while engaging with service users.
- Ability to investigate finance errors and handle cash accurately.
- Proficient keyboarding and word processing skills.
- Literacy and numeracy skills for note-taking and financial management.
- Handling and managing financial information and sensitive data.
- Ability to provide a person-centered approach in customer interactions.

This role requires a versatile individual who can handle various administrative tasks efficiently, communicate effectively with both clients and colleagues, and uphold strict confidentiality with sensitive information.
