Reed Scientific is working with a leading national waste management company, based in Oxfordshire, UK. They are looking to take on another Technical ‘Chem-Pack’ Chemist to support their hazardous waste specialist division. Chem-Pack simply stands for chemicalpacking, is one of the key services provided by the client’s team of mobile chemists. This role would be best suited to any experienced site chemists looking healthy progression and more responsibility.

The successful applicant will ideally have a bachelor’s Chemistry (or related discipline) and have a minimum of 1-2 years working with hazardous waste disposal. Holding an ADR license and DGSA qualification would be highly favoured, however training canbe provided. Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a full UK driving license to be considered.

Duties would include:
4 days a week (travel from home to customer site) - Undertaking chem-pack chemist duties at customer premises to include the sampling, identification, segregation, listing, packing and transportation of assorted hazardous wastes. Completing all administrativetasks associated with the collection procedures and current legislation, ensuring awareness at all times of the provision of a professional and courteous service.

1 day a week (work in the office) - To accurately assess all technical jobs to enable the preparation of hazardous waste consignment notes and all associated transport documentation, packing requirements and labels to facilitate the collection, transportand disposal of waste consignment.

**Salary**: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum
