**An excellent opportunity for an Experienced Diesel Engine Mechanic / Technician to join a well-established company based in Dundee.**

**Job Type**: Full-Time, Permanent.

**Salary**: Up to £70,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

**Location**: Dundee & Off Shore.

They are the longest serving MTU dealer in the UK (over 25 years.) They are specialists in all types of MTU Engine Series (183, 1163, 396, 2000 & 4000.) With over 30 years’ experience in diesel engineering, they offer unparalleled technical & mechanical support through maintenance/repairs and parts supply.

The company are now looking to recruit an Experienced Diesel Engine Mechanic / Technician to join their team.

**About the Role**:
Diesel Engineer, employed to maintain, repair, and completely overhaul diesel engines and associated components within an offshore, onshore and marine environment.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Maintenance, repair & overhaul of diesel engines and associated components including MTU, Detroit Diesel CAT and Cummins
- Provide expertise to diagnose, analyse and rectify faults
- Carry out all work in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
- Reporting of any faulty equipment in the correct manner
- Maintain all associated paperwork and systems as required
- Comply with the companies QHSE policies & procedures
- Report all accidents and incidents, including any near misses
- Observe & maintain Health and Safety and Environmental standards for themselves and work colleagues.
- Maintain good customer relations.

The post holder is expected to undertake all reasonable duties, as requested by the company throughout the duration of their employment.
- Have a minimum of four years as a time served diesel engineer.
- Capable of working unsupervised on all aspects of diesel engine repairs and overhauls.
- Ability to take and record critical engine component dimensional measurements.
- Good mechanical and electronic fault-finding capabilities.
- Ability to read technical drawings / schematics applicable to the job.
- Valid driving licence.
- Valid passport and eligible to work in the UK.
- Valid offshore survival certificate.
- Valid offshore medical.
- Training will be provided where required.

**Salary**: Up to £70,000.00 per year
