Driver Trainer

We are currently seeking a competent and experienced **Driver Trainer** to join our team. As a Driver Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet by providing comprehensive training programs to our drivers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality training.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Develop Training Programs**: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for drivers, encompassing various aspects such as safe driving practices, regulatory compliance, vehicle operation, and customer service standards.
- **Conduct Training Sessions**: Deliver engaging and informative training sessions to both new and existing drivers, utilising a variety of instructional techniques and materials to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- **Evaluate Driver Performance**: Assess the performance of drivers through practical assessments, theoretical tests, and on-the-road evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
- **Promote Safety Culture**: Foster a culture of safety and compliance among drivers by promoting adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in driving techniques.
- **Stay Updated**: Keep abreast of changes in legislation, industry standards, and technological advancements related to driving and transportation, and incorporate relevant updates into training programs.
- **Provide Support**: Offer ongoing support and guidance to drivers, addressing any concerns or queries they may have regarding driving techniques, regulations, or vehicle operation.
- **Maintain Records**: Keep accurate records of training sessions, assessments, and driver certifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Proven experience as a driver trainer or similar role within the logistics or transportation industry, with a strong understanding of driving principles, regulations, and safety protocols.
- **Certifications**: Possession of relevant certifications such as Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) qualification is highly desirable.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information and instructions to diverse audiences.
- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify areas for improvement in driver performance and training materials.
- **Adaptability**: Flexibility to adapt training programs to meet the needs of individual drivers and accommodate changes in regulations or operational requirements.
- **Team Player**: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments to achieve common goals.
- **Driving Record**: A clean driving record with a valid UK driving license for the relevant vehicle categories.
