A trained SEN teaching assistant is presently needed by GSL Education for a secondary school in Wigan, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time position starting right away. This is the ideal position for you if you have knowledge of SEND and are a composed, amiable, and creative person who wants to improve students' lives.

As a result, the school is looking for a SEN TA who will be engaging in the classroom and who can adapt the workload to a variety of student abilities.

Establishing a warm, loving, and supporting relationship with students is key to helping them feel comfortable and supported in their learning and making their experience at the school enjoyable and educational.

**About SEN TA Role**:

- To establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the School.
- Support the Class Teacher in all areas of the day to day running of the class
- To provide learning support for pupils in class or in 1:1 situations
- Provide individualised behaviour interventions within your role as well as ensuring the child’s safety at all times.
- Be working alongside teachers and supporting students of different ages.
- Be working with students with autism, Asperger and challenging behaviour.
- Have previous experience with SEND in a school environment.
- Be a confident, outgoing and personable individual with a passion for helping people.
