Title: Estimator and Purchaser

Type: Contract - Full Time - Permanent

Hours: 40 hour per week, Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 5:00pm

**Salary**: Starting from 26,500 a year (depending on skill set and experience)

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyse drawings, specs and other documentation to prepare cost estimates
- Estimate labour, material, and time requirements in order to be able to produce a part
- Refer to previous orders of similar nature for cost comparison
- Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
- Liaising with stock control and identify purchasing needs
- Researching potential suppliers to minimise cost
- Tracking purchase orders and ensuring materials / tooling arrive on time
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change existing orders
- Other estimating and purchasing duties as required
- Incoming call handling

**Skills**:

- Methodical and very well organised
- Good people and collaboration skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- A real eye for detail
- Self-confidence and an eagerness to learn

**Education, Experience**:

- One years' experience in office environment
- Proficient in use of Microsoft BASIC software packages: Excel, Word, Outlook
- GCSE in Maths and English - or equivalent qualifications

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Birmingham, B7 4EN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
