**Job Summary**

Kiwa UK is looking for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join the UK Finance Team on a fixed term 6 month contract. This role involves providing overall finance support to our Business Units. **About the role**

Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller Team Leader, the Finance Assistant will provide support to the UK Business in all areas of transactional support. A collaborative self-starter with a keen eye for detail, the Accounts Assistant is a valued partner to both the wider Finance Team and to the Business Units the role supports.

Daily Activities:

- Complete daily cashbook transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Process purchase invoices efficiently and compliantly.
- Ensure VAT is correctly accounted for in all purchase transactions.
- Audit and process employee expenses & company credit card expenses.
- Complete payments to suppliers using our banking platform, including sending remittances.
- Post accurate accruals, prepayments, other manual journals to ensure an accurate balance sheet and P&L each month.
- Provide support to Business Units, including supplier set ups, purchase requisitions and supplier invoice queries
- Maintain clean ledgers, managing unallocated cash (and other unusual balances), ledger settlements and reconciling items.

Culture Activities:

- Work with the Corporate Financial Controller Team Leader to support the Ledger team and provide support across different Business units, and cover periods of holiday in the team.
- Support the successful integration of acquired businesses and new systems.
- Help to ensure a safe working environment for both physical and mental health.
- Bring a dynamic, driven and motivated approach to the Company and support the introduction of changes in culture required to maintain Kiwa at the leading edge of our field.

**Do you have what it takes?**
- Accounts payable experience is essential for this role and a good working knowledge of accounting systems - additional experience in cashbooks/banking, auditing expenses/credit cards and accruals and prepayments would be desirable due to the diversity of the role.
- The ability to deliver to tight timescales and deadlines consistently.
- Strong day to day planning and organisational skills.
- Dynamism, aptitude for problem solving and teamwork, practical approach, reliable, flexible, and results oriented.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels.
- The ability to engage and influence colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
