Job Title: Surveillance Motorcyclist
Location: South East Region

**Salary**: £34,545.00 +14% shift allowance

We are recruiting for a surveillance Q2 / Q200 trained motorcyclist to join our highly regarded Counter Terrorism (CT) Surveillance team.
- Evidence of conducting both mobile and foot surveillance. The mobile aspect will evidence both within a car and upon a motorbike
- Evidence of having completed surveillance logs to a national standard, as well as knowledge of disclosure
- The ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility within your role, with effective team working skills

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK.

**Responsibilities**
- Undertake covert, mobile, technical and foot surveillance in order to obtain intelligence and evidence to assist an investigation or operation.
- Conduct covert surveillance as authorised under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 200, and Human Rights legislation in order to ensure legal, proportionate and necessary actions are undertaken.
- Debrief covert surveillance operations on a daily basis to ensure the evidential log is accurate, in line with legal obligations.
- Develop self and colleagues by constructive assessment of effectiveness on operations undertaken to identify both positive and negative performance.
- Ensure compliance with the constraints imposed by relevant legislation and National policies in particular RIPA 200, Security Service Act 1989, ACPO Surveillance Manual and Human Rights Act in order to ensure legal, proportionate and necessary actions are undertaken.

**Required knowledge/skills**
Essential
- Holder of a current Level One Q1 Surveillance accreditation and current advanced car driver.
- Understanding of relevant guidance contained within the Authorised Professional Practice (APP); including RIPA and associate authorities.
- Has attended National/Local Log and Disclosure course.
- Current (and/or equivalent) Accredited Advanced Police Motor Cyclist and Accredited Q2 Surveillance Motor Cyclist.
- Experience of obtaining evidence and intelligence with experience of problem solving to develop proactive strategies. Ability to make ‘real-time’ critical decisions in pressured/stressful situations.
- Experience of using photographic/technical equipment and report writing.
- Proven ability to work well within a team and as an individual whilst working under pressure.
- Must have capability to travel to different locations across the South East Region/Nationally at short notice in response to CT Incidents or as directed by National tasking requirements*

*Confirm their willingness to respond at extremely short notice to National incidents were extended periods of time will be required away from home region

Desirable
- Nationally Accredited SMART and CROP operative.
- Holder of Q1 National Surveillance Training Accreditation or equivalent.
