**AIMS AND OBJECTIVES**

We are looking for 2 passionate, motivated individuals with a desire to make a difference in the lives of others through empathy and understanding, but who can also think creatively and inspire fun and excitement to make life-long memories with and for our children.

As a senior member of the team, you will provide a positive role model for the rest of the team and our children in their day to day lives, championing their needs and fighting for their best interests. You will be able to effectively lead a team in the Managers absence or when this is required. You will be curious, patient, and empathetic in your approach and play a key part in upholding our culture and ethos within the home.

You will have the resilience to work in a challenging environment, and remain solution focused to achieve the best outcomes for our children and young people.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**What is the role?**
- To assist in the smooth running of the home, being part of a multi-disciplinary team. Promoting a warm, nurturing safe and therapeutic environment.
- To know and follow the complaints procedures reporting complaints or untoward occurrences to management, be it from public, members of the ream or children.
- To recognise the needs of the home provided by adopting a flexible attitude to work routines and shift patterns.
- To liaise with management and colleagues regarding issues within the home. Updating on progress or difficulties in relation to adults or children and to advise if management intervention is needed.
- To give support and advice to less experienced colleagues when the need arises, especially new team members.
- Have the ability to communicate clearly, orally, written and IT.
- Assist the management of the adults and resources.
- To know, understand, follow and promote the home’s anti-discriminatory practice procedures.
- To attend team supervision and team meetings. To attend available training and team development opportunities.
- To ensure domestic standards such as cooking and cleaning are set and monitored in such a fashion as to set a good example to the children.
- To give direction to co-workers as and when required.
- To be responsible for the professional supervision of some co-workers as directed by management.
- To promote the health, safety and welfare of all children, including the promotion of their physical, intellectual, social, behavioural and moral development to enable them to mature and develop as responsible members of the community.
