We are looking for an Outreach
Librarian to join our Outreach Team in Craven on a fixed term contract until 31st
March 2024 to cover a secondment. As Outreach Librarian, your role will be to
lead a team of staff and volunteers to develop new library audiences, whilst
maintaining existing service use through the promotion of library services and
facilities. The postholder will ensure a quality and consistency of service
delivery at all libraries by monitoring the performance of staff and volunteers,
managing stock, and developing a programme of outreach activities.

We are looking for someone who
has experience of delivering a customer-focussed service, managing projects, and
has a range of managerial and professional competencies. You will have the
ability to work closely with communities, stakeholders and volunteers, an entrepreneurial approach to service delivery, and a passion for books, reading
and working with people.

a flexible approach to working, including weekends, evenings, and different
locations as required, with the ability to travel across North Yorkshire.
Literacy and numeracy equivalent to level 3 is required, alongside the use of
member of the county-wide Digital Strategy Group. A recognised library
qualification is desirable.
