The role of Morning Deliveries and Fleet Supervisor, is responsible for opening up our Warehouse and overseeing the efficient and safe mobilisation of our fleet of Drivers and their vans.

You will proactively open up and make sure Drivers have all they need to get going on their journeys for the day ahead.

In your position as Supervisor, you will have a ‘can do attitude’, and seek to resolve any potential for delays which may be encountered.

**Duties**:

- Open up the Warehouse.
- Conduct premise and vehicle checks.
- Ensure vehicles get a way safely and on time.
- React to agency no shows, and any unplanned staff absence. Conscientiously seek to minimise down time.
- Ensure that Furniture Homes systems are updated. Follow internal procedures, imperative to ensuring consistency throughout our UK sites to report matters arising.
- Strive to support the wider business aims of ensuring that there are no damages or mis-picks.
- Assist in the identification, checking and counting of products there are queries.
- Maintain the highest levels of security, health and safety and quality at all times.
- Environmental and Health and Safety compliance with the law and best practice, including safe handling of products, fork lift truck and pallet trucks, fire safety and COSHH awareness.

You will proactively ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported.
- Report any issues and liaise with other teams to problem solve solutions.
- Work with our neighbouring business to ensure smooth relations and minimise access issues.

**Person Specification**:

- Essential_
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
- A self-starter, always thinking a few steps ahead to avoid any unnecessary delays, including minor maintenance and repairs, e.g. tyre change, loading and unloading vehicles.
- Experience gained in a Driver/Warehouse/Manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and manual handling experience.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Work well with other people in a solution focused and positive way.
- You will be highly organised, able to use and share real-time information to increase accuracy and meet planned schedules.
- Able to update company administration and communication systems, training will be provided.
- Responsible and adept at effective security procedures, stock protection measures and aware of the potential implications that security breaches and stock losses would have on the business.
- A true team player, focused and driven to work towards shared goals.

- Fork Lift Truck Licence.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,600.00-£28,800.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
