A leading and well-established Builders Merchant in Cheltenham are looking for an enthusiastic and committed timber assistant/machinist to operate machinery and assist with duties across the yard. This is an exciting time to join a long-standing, successfulbusiness that is still facing rapid growth, on a full-time, permanent basis.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Complete machinery inspection, reporting any damage or faulty parts of machinery to the manager
- Maintaining a high standard of general housekeeping
- To manage the inflow and outflow of materials in such a manner that it is accurately received and correctly stored, ensuring against damage and theft and to provide efficient loading.
- Picking the correct quantities and products as instructed from the picking list.
- Following the operational procedures when picking products and materials
- Adhere to all health and safety in the workplace.
- To properly maintain the equipment and facilities
- To maximize the use of available resources to achieve high productivity
- To ensure that the timber department is operated according to the Timber Manager and company standards and procedures
- To check and verify all delivery documents match delivery goods and report any discrepancies and to liaise with transport department staff to ensure company vehicles are loaded with correct goods before despatch
